Posted by A very enjoyable match took place at Burridge on the 12th October between A Cobbetts team and a City of Bath team.
The match was a 10 per side challenge match. On a very rainy day we played all 4 rounds which included singles, doubles, and triples.
As in 2018, the whole match was played in a very friendly, social and competitive way. This was a great way of mixing players from different levels e,g those who play in competitions and regional events to those who do not,thus giving the least experience players good match experience.
Yet again I am pleased to report another great match to organise and play in. In the hope that the Bath club see and like this posting, I want to thank them for their friendship and for making the trip on a wet day and also giving us a very good and equal match.
The match ended eleven-all. The match was decided by a play off match of singles ( to 5 points) to decide the final outcome. Congratulations to the Bath club who won the decider 5-3 and so the match.
