Posted by To all Cobbetts members, but especially to those who have been involved in our Twinning events in the past. We have received the sad news that Jean-Claude died peacefully yesterday morning in the nursing home where he had been resident for the last couple of years. For those who did not know him, Jean-Claude was a great friend of the Twinning between Le Havre and Cobbetts from the very beginning. During that time he played a major part in organising all our weekends in Le Havre and always enjoyed his visits to Botley. Dave and Ali first welcomed him to their home in 1982 and continued to exchange visits with him until 2014 when his health declined. They are very grateful that they were able to pay a final visit to our old friend during their recent trip to Le Havre. RIP Jean-Claude.
