Another excellent season with one championship and two runner-up places.
There were two team entered in the 9-a-side league.
The 9-a-side Division 1 team won back the championship they temporarily relinquished last
year. Only one match was lost, a narrow 4-5 defeat at Crondall, and the team finished as clear
winners with 9 wins ahead of Bordon who won just 6.
The 9-a-side ‘Extras’ team won 2 of their 8 matches to finish in 4th place.
9-a-side Division 1 Captain: Steve Lombard
9-a-side Division 2 ‘Extras’ Captain: Mike Porter
There were again three teams entered in the 6-a-side league.
The ‘A’ team bettered last year’s performance by winning their first 9 matches and finishing with
12 wins from 14. This gave them 61 points, more than Bordon achieved to win the 2012
championship, Unfortunately it was the runners-up spot again as Southampton City, with
the same number of wins, amassed 64 points!
The ‘B’ team had an excellent season taking the runners-up place just 2 points behind the
champions Hampshire Rose. They won 10 of their 14 matches and will be promoted
to Division 1 for the first time next season.
The ‘C-siders’ team playing in Division 3 for the first time made a reasonable start winning 3 of
their first 6 matches. Unfortunately the second half of the season saw just 1 win and three 5-0
defeats which means a quick return to Division 4 next year.
6-a-side Division 1 ‘A’ Captain: Dave Stubbs
6-a-side Division 2 ‘B’ Captain: Pete Tomlin
6-a-side Division 3 ‘C-siders’ Captain: Sue Sandy
