6-a-side League
Cobbetts have again entered three teams in the 6-a-side league.
The ‘A’ team has been renamed ‘Ales’. Richard Greeves takes over as captain from Dave Stubbs who takes on the 9-a-side team after many years in charge of the A team. With the loss of three top players, obviously there are some new faces in the squad. The team took the runners-up spot last season, and were yet again the only team to defeat River Hamble.
The ‘B’ team has been renamed ‘Bees’. This team also finds itself with a number of changes as players move around to balance up the numbers in each squad. After a great start to the 2021 season, the team eventually finished in 6th place and will be hoping to improve on this in 2022.
The ‘C” team has been renamed ‘Cubs’ and is now under the captaincy of Graham Blake, who takes over from Pete Tomlin. Lots of new faces in the team hoping to go at least one better than in 2021. Although they finished 5th this was only one win fewer than the team that finished champions! All to play for, with promotion from Division 3 West to Division 2 the prize.

9-a-side League
The 9-a-side League is back after an absence of 2 years with Dave Stubbs taking over from Rich Greeves as captain. In the the past we have entered two teams but, sadly, the committee did not feel there was enough interest to enter more than one team this season. We will be giving a number of our newer players the opportunity of some league experience.
