You are welcome to join us! To join the club, please contact a member of the committee. The annual club membership fee is due at the AGM each November and includes membership of Burridge Social and Sports Club (BSSC).
Fees for 2022/23 are £35 for Adults and £15 for Juniors of which £20 of the adult fee is paid to BSSC. Anyone joining from September 1st will have membership until November the following year.
Terrain and clubhouse
The club bar is open Tuesday evening for club night throughout the year. Additionally during the summer it will be open for league matches. Throughout the year it will also be open on most Saturdays, Sundays and some evenings whenever there is a football or cricket match.
Members are welcome to play on the Burridge terrain at any time. If you you need access to the pavilion when the club is not otherwise in use then contact one of keyholders who can loan you the keys. Keyholders are Ali Stubbs, Dave Stubbs, Bernie Miles, Graham Blake, Jim Ireland and Paul Bone.
Both the barrier to the car park and the gate to the track are secured by combination locks. If you do not know the combination please contact one of the committee.
Club Sessions
Every Monday there is an afternoon club session from 2pm until 4pm or later. There are social games with a break for tea/coffee halfway through the session. A contribution of £1 is asked for at these sessions towards the cost of the tea and coffee and general terrain maintenance.
Every Tuesday there is a club night at Burridge, with informal games starting at 7:30 p.m. A contribution of £1 is also asked for on club night, this goes towards improving club facilities and ensuring the terrains are well maintained. There is a melee competition each month, usually on the last Tuesday of the month. There is an entry fee of £1 for the melee and this funds a cash prize for the winner, who also has the honour of winning the George Melee Trophy!
Members also regularly play on Friday and Saturday afternoons but, as these are not ‘official’ club sessions, it is probably best to check on the club Facebook page if anyone else will be there.
